Associations

Associations are typically required to communicate with their members as well as inform and educate interest groups. This is commonly done through their websites but often not a lot of attention is spent on keeping people on the website or having them come back. We are seeing many associations take a look at the variety of new tools that are available now including open source. Many open source solutions include components that give small associations, who don't have many resources, the power to include new features to their website that benefit members. Some people use these solutions to push information out to their various audiences others have built large scale communities and engaged their members in a conversation.
